Join us for an in-person screening of “The Mighty,” a 1998 film adapted from the book “Freak the Mighty” that illustrates how recognizing and combining people’s different strengths can create meaningful connections and opportunities.

Through the friendship of Kevin and Max, the film shows how people who may be overlooked or defined by disabilities can contribute complementary strengths that become even more powerful when they work together.

Though this event is part of the Building Networks for Life Series, the movie is open to all. The film is rated PG-13. Directions and a parking pass will be provided to those who register.

Schedule

  • 5:30 to 6 p.m.: Check in, grab popcorn and light refreshments, and network 
  • 6 to 6:15 p.m.: Brief remarks 
  • 6:15 to 8 p.m.: Film screening
  • 8 to 8:30 p.m.: Film discussion
  • 8:30 to 9 p.m.: Networking
