Introduction to Person-Centered Thinking

This six-hour course is for all Rhode Islanders who want to learn about a person-centered approach to helping people with disabilities live more independent and fulfilling lives.

You’ll explore the basics of person-centered thinking, including self-determination, how support systems have changed over time and the ideas behind this approach. This introductory course is the first in a series about person-centered thinking, helping everyone learn a positive, strengths-based approach.

The course will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Zoom on four dates:

  • Monday, June 16
  • Wednesday, June 18
  • Monday, June 23
  • Wednesday, June 25

A certificate of completion will be provided to those who attend all four sessions.
