Person-Centered Thinking Facilitator Training - Fall 2024

This online course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills a facilitator needs to get ready for the person-centered planning process, including creating the plan and putting the plan into action with an individual.

This course will take place from September to December and require approximately a 40-hour commitment to complete. Learners will complete 11 online modules, quizzes, three assignments and attend four instructor-led group sessions. Learners will use Moodle, an online platform, to independently access the course materials and assignments. Learners will also attend four required virtual group sessions with the instructor.

Course start date:

The course will open in Moodle on Sept. 16. Learners are expected to complete initial readings and an orientation to Moodle before the first group session.

The required group sessions take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on these Tuesdays:

Registration details:

This free online course is available to those supporting persons with I/DD living in Rhode Island. Priority registration will be given to support coordinators, managers and other front-line supervisors supporting persons with I/DD, as well as families and people with lived experience in Rhode Island.
