Family Employment Awareness Training for Adults (FEAT-A)
Tailored for adults with disabilities and their families, this two-part training introduces employment options in Rhode Island, including supported, customized and self-employment. Participants learn how to access adult service systems, hear directly from adults who are successfully employed and use tools to map strengths and create a plan for employment.
Attendees must attend both sessions. Each session is a live, interactive training offered in person and virtually through Zoom.

Session 1: Building the Dream of Employment | This session features an introduction to employment in Rhode Island, including supported and customized employment, outside-of-the-box opportunities and self-employment. |
Session 2: Accessing Adult Supports for Employment | This session features of panel of adults who are successfully employed, addresses common concerns and fears about work and provides information about supports from the Office of Rehabilitation Services and Division of Developmental Disabilities. |
