Work Pays! An Introduction to Youth SSI Work Incentives

Join us from noon to 1 p.m. on June 3 to learn about SSI work incentives for youths with disabilities in this free Zoom session led by certified work incentives benefits counselors.

DSP recruitment resources available

Free customizable direct support professional recruitment materials include English and Spanish flyers, social media posts and PSAs. Agencies can add logos and QR codes to promote local job openings supporting people with IDD.

The Sherlock Center’s Access for All Abilities Mini Grant helped Aging Well Inc. transform an underused space into an inclusive indoor garden that expands opportunities for people with disabilities, older adults and Spanish-speaking residents to connect and learn together.

Social Security safety nets provide ways to work and still have support

Sherlock Center Impact

The Sherlock Center supports Rhode Islanders who have disabilities by making sure they know about and can use the work “safety nets” built into Social Security programs. With the right information, people can choose work without the fear of losing their benefits forever.

This information session will give you a introduction to disability-related work incentives for youth receiving SSI benefits. You will have an opportunity to ask questions. This session is presented by Certified Work Incentives Counselors. There is no cost to attend.
