“Understanding Sensory Reactivity and Regulation through the Optimal Engagement Band” is Oct. 22

Join Leslie Fanning, Ph.D., for a Community of Practice in Autism presentation on the seven senses, the Optimal Engagement Band, and ways parents and professionals can use this knowledge to better support engagement for children and youth with autism.

Introduction to Person-Centered Thinking is Oct. 20-28

Explore the basics of person-centered thinking, including self-determination, how support systems have changed and ideas behind this approach. This course on Zoom is the first in a series, helping everyone learn a positive, strengths-based approach.

Social Security safety nets provide ways to work and still have support

Sherlock Center Impact

The Sherlock Center supports Rhode Islanders who have disabilities by making sure they know about and can use the work “safety nets” built into Social Security programs. With the right information, people can choose work without the fear of losing their benefits forever.
