Job Retention and Coaching is one of three SME mini-certificate series offered to earn an ACRE certificate. This is an online training series using Zoom instructed by professionals with experience managing and supporting employment services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This mini-certificate series teaches the skills of job retention and coaching. To earn a certificate, learners are required to attend the modules and mentor/fieldwork sessions listed below and satisfactorily complete one fieldwork assignment.

  • Oct. 2 (4 - 6 p.m.) - Orientation and Mentor/Fieldwork Session #1
  • Oct. 7 and 9 (4 - 5:30 p.m.) - Module 10: Job Retention and Coaching l - Foundations in Job Retention Success
  • Oct. 14 and 16 (4 - 5:30 p.m.) - Module 1: Foundations in Community Employment Services and Supports
  • Oct. 21 and 23 (4 - 5:30 p.m.) - Module 11: Job Retention and Coaching II– Teaching the Job- Task Analysis and Systematic Instruction
  • Oct. 28 and 30 (4 - 5:30 p.m.) - Module 6: Employment Law, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Disability Disclosure
  • Nov. 4 and 6 (4 - 5:30 p.m.) - Module 12: Job Retention and Coaching III- Fading Support, Quality Services and Career Development
  • Nov. 12* and 13 (4 - 5:30 p.m.) - Module 2: Work Incentives to Support Employment and Retention
  • Nov. 20 (4 - 6 p.m.) - Mentor/Fieldwork Session #4 - Job Retention and Coaching
