The Sherlock Center offers hundreds of online resources and publications on topics across the lifespan, from early intervention to transition to person-centered thinking, employment and self-determination.

    Rhode Island Community Jobs (RICOMJOB) is a public e-mail announcement list that connects those who want jobs that make a difference in our communities with nonprofit and public interest employers. Anyone can join the list.

    Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals

    BHDDH provides services to approximately 50,000 Rhode Islanders, and their loved ones, who are living with mental illness and/or substance use conditions, have developmental disabilities, or need Long Term Acute Care in one of the state hospitals. In addition, BHDDH administers funds which support a statewide network of prevention and mental health promotion initiatives. The site provides resources for behavioral health services and lists community mental health centers that provide emergency services, outpatient treatment and case management.

    The foundation provides financial, material, social and developmental assistance to visually impaired people in our Rhode Island communities. Its services include eye examinations and eyeglasses at no charge to adults and children who are not covered by medical insurance.
